College Application Essay #1
Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.
When I was a elementary school student, I didn't like to present in front of many people and have much opportunity. I couldn't have confidence about me and my presentation and I was afraid about all people's seeing and focusing on me, thinking whether I had been taking mistakes. I wanted to live without special attention from other people and in quiet enjoying my own liberal life.
By chance, I participated in the scientific investigation contest. That, the scientific investigation, was the homework for the summer vacation. Because I was interested in the contamination of Jungrang-Cheon(river), I investigated about that. All process of research was very joyous so that I completed and submitted that work in pleasant mind. Then my work was nominated as a best thing among all students. After I was awarded the prize from my elementary school, I took part in the contest about such things as the representative of the school.
In there, I had to present about my job. I was highly nervous but I wanted to announce and thoght I could do. Because I became enthusiastic in that and desired that many people heard about what I did. Being anxious and thumping, I stood before two interviewers to give out. My face turned greatly red and I couldn't recognize what I was saying during the announcement. However, I finished my publication clearly and felt not only a sense of relief, but delight.
Thanks to the tournament and the experience in there, I found my talent about researching into an environment. And, since then, my feeling difficulty to give out before many people has been decreased. To undergo a big deal, I has become confident and could talk about my opinion, even though many people see only me.
